Monitoring software from ServersCheck supplied with Acer EMEA servers
ServersCheck also starts developing a partner network aimed at small to medium-sized organizations

Leuven- Belgium, 23rd January 2006 - ServersCheck, the company from Leuven that supplies monitoring software and hardware for ICT infrastructures, has signed an agreement with the hardware giant Acer. All Acer servers sold in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) will be now supplied with ServersCheck Monitoring Software. Companies can use this software to monitor the availability and performance of their servers automatically. Company systems remain available and much less money is lost through system failure or damage.

As well as their agreement with Acer EMEA, ServersCheck have also revealed that the expansion of their own reseller network is going to speed up. The company from Leuven is particularly targeting IT service providers with small to medium-sized clients, as this is where there is the greatest shortage of affordable and efficient ways of monitoring the availability of IT systems. By using the ServersCheck software, IT service providers can alter their approach form a reactive position to a pro-active one, and so increase their turnover per client. ServersCheck currently has clients mainly in Germany and the UK.

The ServersCheck software is a powerful, reliable, affordable and less complex alternative to 'traditional' monitoring software provided by a number of leading players. Adding the ServersCheck environment sensors (temperature, air humidity, power failure and water detection) to the software means that IT equipment is not only continuously monitored from inside, but also from outside.

Accessible for small and medium-sized organizations

The deal with Acer is ServersCheck's first contract with a large hardware manufacturer. It is therefore also an important step towards the further growth of the company in the EMEA region. Thousands of international users already rely on ServersCheck to monitor the availability of their systems.

"We have a product that is easy for small, medium-sized and large companies to implement. Even Acer, who are very involved in the server market, have seen that", says Maarten Van Laere of ServersCheck. "Bundling their servers with the limited free version of the ServersCheck Monitoring Software makes basic checks on ICT systems' availability accessible for any type of company. As long as they have some basic knowledge of networks, clients can even easily install and manage the software themselves.

ServersCheck provide various versions of their software, depending on the applications to be monitored. As well as software, ServersCheck also distributes a series of sensors for server rooms. These sensors monitor all kinds of environmental factors that can be damaging for the servers, such as air humidity and temperature.
