Company in Louvain also speeding up expansion of a partner network aimed at SMEs
Leuven (Belgium), 22 June 2006 - ServersCheck, the supplier of monitoring software and hardware for ICT infrastructure based in Louvain, has concluded an agreement with Maxdata, a European hardware producer. From now on, all servers sold by Maxdata in the Benelux will be supplied with ServersCheck Monitoring Software. This software will enable companies to automatically monitor the availability and performance of their servers. The big advantages are that company systems remain available and problems are traced more quickly, thus considerably reducing financial losses due to fewer and shorter interruptions.
The deal with Maxdata is the second contract with a large hardware producer for ServersCheck. The new contract represents a subsequent important step in the continued growth of the company in the EMEA region. Thousands of international users already have confidence in ServersCheck when monitoring the availability of their systems.
The software from ServersCheck is a powerful, reliable, affordable and less complex alternative to the "traditional" monitoring software supplied by a large number of players. ServersCheck offers different versions of its software depending on the applications to be monitored. Apart from software, ServersCheck also distributes a range of environment sensors for server rooms. These sensors monitor all kinds of environmental factors that may be harmful to the servers, such as air humidity and temperature, making it possible for IT equipment to be monitored continuously both inside and outside.
Monitoring software for SMEs
The cooperation with Maxdata and its resellers provides ServersCheck with the possibility to further expand its 'reseller' network. The company in Louvain particularly targets IT service providers with SME customers, since these are in the greatest need of affordable and efficient systems to monitor server hardware and software. ServersCheck software enables IT service providers to monitor the IT systems of their customers remotely, thus providing more rapid support. The change from a reactive to a proactive attitude results in improved service quality and an increase in the customer's sales.
In order to facilitate the central monitoring of customers, ServersCheck has made a software version available for so-called 'managed service providers' (MSP). These are companies that administer the IT systems of other organizations, such as system integrators, data centres and hosting companies. The new software enables MSPs to monitor the entire IT infrastructure of their customers from a single location. When a customer's system fails or does not perform well, the MSP will be able to detect this immediately and intervene. More detailed information about this software version is available on the Internet at www.managed-service-provider.com.
"Maxdata understands that we have a solution that can be implemented quickly for both large companies and SMEs," says to Maarten Van Laere of ServersCheck. "Bundling servers with a limited free version of the ServersCheck Monitoring Software makes the basic monitoring of ICT systems achievable for every type of business."
