ServersCheck Sensor Probes
The SensorGateway comes with a built-in temperature probe. You can connect up to 2 additional sensor probes to the SensorGateway.

Temperature Sensor (Built-in or External)
In order to monitor temperature, the above shown SensorGateway comes with a built-in temperature sensor. It can monitor temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit within a range of -55°C to +75°C (-67ºF to +167ºF). It has a precision of ±0.1ºC (0.18ºF) with an accuracy of ±0.5°C (0.9°F) from -10°C to +85°C (-14°F to 185°C). Ideal for detecting computer room temperature issues like air conditioning failure, sudden temperature rises, overheating in server racks.

An external temperature sensor probe is also available that has the same specifications as above. Read More
External Humidity / Temperature probe
This external probe connects to the SensorGateway and reports temperature & humidity. The sensor detects the relative humidity in %rH as unit of measure. The relative humidity measurement range is from 0% to 100 % RH with a precision of 0.1% RH. The humidity accuracy is ±2%. The temperature range covered by the sensor is -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F). It has a precision of ±0.1ºC (0.18ºF) with an accuracy of ±0.5°C Read more

External Power probe
The sensor is plugged in before the UPS. It can detect and report on the availability and loss of AC mains power. If you typically face power outages and if you want to be alerted before your UPS goes down too, then this sensor will help you. Read more
External Flooding / Water detection probe
This sensor is used for monitoring, reporting and alerting on flooding, wetness or water leaks in computer rooms. It provides a WET/DRY indication in the monitoring software.

Why wait until a server starts melting before discovering a climate control issue? The bottom line is you have to monitor the entire server room. And that's where environmental sensors come in. Sensors provided by ServersCheck not only monitor temperature, but surpass conventional standards by also monitoring the effects of humidity, possible flood risk, power outage, and immanent disaster risk.

Quick overview of the main features of the ServersCheck SensorGateway:
1) Built-in temperature sensor with option to connect up to 2 additional external sensor probes.

2) 4 types of external sensor probes: temperature, humidity, power failure and water/flooding

3) Power Over Ethernet: the sensors no longer require a power adapter but can be powered through the network. Compliant with the PoE IEEE 802.3af standard. No PoE? You can have them with a power adapter too.

4) SNMP & SNMP Traps: You can integrate ServersCheck's sensors with the Monitoring Software or Monitoring Appliance from ServersCheck. Using SNMP it also integrates with other management systems such as Nagios, MRTG, Tivoli, HP OpenView, Whatsup, Ciscoworks, Big Brother, Castle Rock, OpenNMS and more... Click here to see how ServersCheck's sensors work natively with Nagios.

5) Calibratable: Unlike any competing sensor, ServersCheck temperature & humidity sensors are calibritable. When readings from a sensor are off for a few degrees then most vendors will require you to purchase new units. Not with ServersCheck. You can easily calibrate the sensor and continue using it. 6) Industrial grade: the Sensor Gateway is made of industrial grade parts: from its steel frame to the components inside the box. The Sensor Gateway is designed to meet the CE industrial class requirements. On top of the parts and requirements, the Sensor Gateway has been tested to operate without problems for a minimum of 48 hours in an environment with a temperature of 75°C / 167°F.

7) Web enabled: Through the built-in web server you can view the live status and manage the device. View screen shots here

8) Autosensing: When a sensor is connected to the SensorGateway (shown left), then the gateway will automatically detect and configure the sensor connected to it.

9) Stand-alone alerting: the sensors can autonomously generate alerts via email (SMTP) and SNMP traps, no need for other software.
